Electricity Canada responded to the draft Clean Electricity Regulations which were released for comment by Environment and Climate Change Canada last August.
The response, submitted as part of the Government of Canada’s feedback process for the regulations raised a number of concerns from members regarding the implementation of regulations. It made several recommendations for more flexible compliance options, financial compliance options in terms of enforcement, transparency in all economic modelling and focusing on developing a durable, consensus policy.
