Ottawa, November 24, 2017 – The Honourable Sergio Marchi, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Electricity Association (CEA), issued the following statement on the Government of Canada’s announcement yesterday regarding the launch of the Smart Cities Challenge.

It encourages and enables opportunities that directly support a healthy, vibrant Canadian economy and an enhanced quality of life. At over 80% GHG emissions free and growing, and ushering in leading edge innovation, the electricity sector will be pivotal in powering our cities of the future.”
