As utilities embark on the next stage of their grid automation journey and further invest in their communications infrastructure, it would be prudent to look back at the decade that passed, the projects that were completed and the lessons we learned from those projects. In this webinar, we will review the lessons learned from 99 projects completed under the US Department of Energy’s Smart Grid Investment Grant (SGIG) program, between 2009 and 2016, with a total budget of 7.9 billion dollars. We will then discuss how these lessons can guide us to make better technology and partner selection decisions today.
